This page includes the university's Campus Hazing Transparency Report, as required by the Stop Campus Hazing Act, as well as information about student organizations that have been suspended or otherwise had their university recognition restricted as a result of the student conduct process.

Campus Hazing Transparency Report

The Stop Campus Hazing Act requires Iowa State University to publish information regarding recognized student organizations that are found responsible for hazing following an institutional investigation.

The Campus Hazing Transparency Report is updated at least twice each year. Information included in each update is maintained publicly for five calendar years as required by federal law. The report does not include personally identifiable information about individual students.

Alcohol or Drugs Involved: Alcohol

Description of Violation:
The organization was found responsible for hazing involving new member activities during three incidents between Fall 2024 and February 2025. The conduct included coerced or expected alcohol consumption, physical exertion, and intimidation associated with initiation activities. Alcohol was involved in the hazing conduct.

Sanctions:
Suspension of organizational recognition through December 19, 2025; one year of Conduct Probation following reinstatement; required hazing prevention education; leadership and membership restrictions; and additional oversight and reinstatement requirements.

Student Organizations with Significant Disciplinary Action

Iowa State University provides information about student organizations that have received significant disciplinary sanctions, including suspension or loss or restriction of university recognition. This information is maintained for a period following the disciplinary action so that students, families, and others considering involvement with an organization can make informed decisions.

An organization's appearance in this section does not necessarily mean the organization is currently suspended. The organization's current status and applicable dates are provided below.
